    Description

RED CEDAR TOTEM, FROM NORTHWEST COAST OF CANADA, VANCOUVER AREA, SQUAMISH, FROM 1950'S, 15.75" HIGH, STACKED ANIMAL FIGURES WITH WATCHMEN AT TOP. INHERITED FROM FATHER, ASSESSED VALUE WHEN INHERITED WAS 00. SELLING AT DISCOUNTED VALUE DUE TO LACK OF PROVENANCE PRIOR TO MY FATHER'S OWNERSHIP. VERY LIGHT PENCIL SIGNATURE ON BACK, BELIEVED TO READ  "WILSON A WELLS". ALSO WRITTEN IN PENCIL IS "CHIEF KHOT LA CHA" __?__ (KIND?) HEART" WHICH I BELIEVE TO BE THE NAME OF THE GALLERY THIS PIECE CAME FROM.  SORRY, BUT I WAS UNABLE TO CAPTURE THE WRITING IN MY PHOTOS.
