Tlingit Effigy Grease Bowl Eagle Early 20th Century.
Very nice. Is missing some of the bone or abalone inserts. Old repair to one wing. A great looking piece. 11.5” long and 7” at the widest point.
This piece likely came from the Turtle Museum in Niagara Falls NY. The collection I am selling spans over 60 years and we know that the owner was an early buyer in the museum when they closed their doors. I have several more wonderful Native items I will be listing over the next couple months. As well as early American folk art , shaker items and 19th century Americana.
