    Helicopter Air Service inaugurated air mail service to
    Wheaton and Glen Ellyn on Segment B with the first westbound service on December 19, 1949.

    was carried on the Air Mail Route 96 inaugural flight from Glen Ellyn, Illinois to Chicago, Illinois (where it was backstamped) and is listed in the Contract Air Mail Flights (CAM) Section of The American Air Mail Catagoue was 96-49.

    Service over Air Mail Route 96 was suspended after December 31, 1965, following the elimination of mail subsidy. Postal operations were resumed in June 1969 but were again suspended in June 1975.
