    Authentic big Zuni pueblo & rain man & parrot & turtle fetish carved and signed on the bottom by Terrence Martza
    Description and attributes:
    This is a rain man & parrot & turtle & Zuni pueblo carved from beautiful fish rock, inlaid jet body adornments, inlaid jet eyes, and inlaid mother of pearl and jet eyes A gorgeous, very symbolic big tabletop fetish 14 ounces--a parrot, turtle, and rain man protecting the Zuni pueblo and bringing life sustaining rain to the the Zuni people! There is a Zuni legend that tells the story of the parrot and the crow. Each one presents one of their eggs to the Zuni women. The women have to choose which one they will keep. The women choose the egg of the crow because of the wonderful turquoise color. This Zuni love of the color turquoise is still reflected in their daily lives and their ceremonies. It is said that the parrot left Zuni when it's egg was not chosen. This is the parrot that returned to protect the Zuni pueblo and it's people!!!
